Salvation Simplified Sunday, October 12, 2008 Monday, October 06, 2008 Just back from Liverpool, where I've spent quite a bit of time this year. Loads to tell in due course but, if you are in the city, take a walk around the newly reinstated Chavasse Park. Recently opened, having been planted during the past year, it's currently looking absolutely bloomin immaculate. Think Chelsea Flower Show garden on a massive scale. Gorgeous plants, my favourite being a semi mature pine on one of the terraces. Part of the seriously impressive Liverpool One development, this park is a stunning example of contemporary landscaping in the heart of an historic city. The grass edged water feature at the foot of the terraces is fab. True to type A nice little typographic treat from Sebastian Lester, who's a typrographic designer; one of those new breed that Matthew Carter talks about. I never knew that the Apollo moon program had its own official typeface. freshly squeezed for you by drD at 11:02 PM |
